To harness our collective expertise, values, and resources to foster community resilience, advocate for equity, break barriers and contribute meaningfully to the well-being of our communities .

Who We Are..

We are a collective of independent Syrian Canadian women professionals dedicated to fostering connections, breaking barriers, and advocating for positive change. we hope to accomplish this by:

  • Creating a dynamic network of professional women to provide support, trusted resources, and expertise.

  • Building bridges between the Syrian women professionals and wider communities to provide support and expertise 

  • Create revenue opportunities for the network’s members by promoting our collective and individual skills

How We Work..

Our network operates as a multifaceted interconnected hub consisting of technocratic teams dedicated to delivering impactful solutions through collective expertise. We focus is:

  1. Strengthening the knowledge and capacity of our network’s.

  2. Providing support to empower our members and communities . 

  3. Link our networks with other national and international organizations and collaborate with similar minded groups and individuals.

Silaa Governance Structure
has a hybrid model

  • A Core Leadership Team (5-7 members) handling overall strategy and decision-making.

  • Advisory Board of professionals (5-10) who offer expertise but don’t handle daily operations.

  • Executive team: Manage the administration and the operation of the network.

  • Working Groups (Members)  focused on specific initiatives (e.g., policy advocacy, mentorship, fundraising, Training..).
